NYU Steinhardt’s online master of arts in School Counseling program prepares you to be an impactful school counselor, capable of guiding pre-K–12 students toward success. Taught by NYU Steinhardt faculty with the same curriculum as the on-campus program, Counseling@NYU focuses on each student’s ability to build meaningful relationships with children, teachers, and parents.

This Masters in Psychology and Counseling Accreditation Council (MPCAC)-accredited program is designed for aspiring school counselors who are passionate about helping children and adolescents achieve their personal and academic goals, whether in public or private school settings. While earning your master of arts degree in School Counseling, you will learn how to apply key school counseling techniques to pre-K–12 youth through assessment, intervention, case conceptualization, and advocacy.

This program is open to individuals across the country and can be completed on a full- or part-time basis.
