This is an experiential laboratory course. Students will participate in small group laboratory experiences utilizing simulation, modeling, microcounseling, and related foundational counseling skills in an experiential learning base. Students will learn basic communication skills necessary in interviewing, counseling, and other helping relationships. The skills students learn apply to a wide range of professional counseling scenarios with children, adolescents, and adults.
