APSY-GE 2657: Counseling: Theory and Process
This course reviews classical and contemporary theories of counseling from major counseling traditions. This review addresses applications to social and emotional development in children, adolescents, and adults with a focus on view of human nature as well as normal and abnormal personality development. The course introduces students to the evidence base for the various theories and to the contribution of neuroscience to counseling. The course also reviews the application to school and mental health settings.
