Master of Arts in Counseling and Guidance 

The online MA program in Counseling and Guidance prepares you to work in elementary, middle, and high schools across the country, helping children and adolescents achieve their personal and academic goals. You will choose a concentration in either school counseling or bilingual school counseling, which provides additional training for working with non-native English speakers.

Master of Arts in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness 

The online MA program in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness prepares you to become a clinical mental health counselor who works directly with individuals and groups. After achieving professional licensure, you may pursue employment in a variety of settings including mental health centers, hospitals, and private practice.

Accreditation 

Both the online master of arts program in Counseling and Guidance and the online master of arts program in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at NYU Steinhardt are accredited by the Masters in Psychology and Counseling Accreditation Council (MPCAC) for the period of January 2015 through January 2025.

GRE scores are not required for admission.
